I always find the seed heads, pods and buds to be most inspiring- more so than when everything bursts into bloom. These are a few of the things that are inspiring me, that are finding their way into my paintings (more of which I will post later in the week)
Those are beautiful. I love the winter weeds we have here, too. Perhaps because the rest of the landscape is so stark this time of year, they really stand out and make beautiful patterns.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the low winter light: it makes everything silvery and etheral. I have to try limit the armloads of seedheads I want to bring into the house!!!!!!!!!!!
